Birds of Costa Rica
Most of these shots are in no particular order. Just examples from the five trips down there so far. Most of the time we were in the company of Noel Urena who is in my opinion one of the best birder/ photographers I've ever met. Noel is an excellent birding guide who also runs the largest Christmas bird count region in Costa Rica. His Birding guide website " Tropical Feathers" is worth a visit just for the photos.
With Noel and Luis, a friend of Noels, I had the opportunity to join in four surveys for the Dept of Conservation. They were wonderful experiences indeed. The link to Noels Tropical Feathers Birding website is at the top of this page.
Enjoy.

Tawny-winged Woodcreeper at Los Cusingos, Costa Rica.
This guy was at the same party as the Ruddy Woodcreeper. The party being a largish army ant trail. Lots of birds feasting on the terrified insects trying to escape the ant hordes.
Both the Ruddy and Tawny-winged Woodcreepers took exception to each others presence so got into a big squabble. There was pushing and shoving and everything.
