Birds of Costa Rica
Most of these shots are in no particular order. Just examples from the five trips down there so far. Most of the time we were in the company of Noel Urena who is in my opinion one of the best birder/ photographers I've ever met. Noel is an excellent birding guide who also runs the largest Christmas bird count region in Costa Rica. His Birding guide website " Tropical Feathers" is worth a visit just for the photos.
With Noel and Luis, a friend of Noels, I had the opportunity to join in four surveys for the Dept of Conservation. They were wonderful experiences indeed. The link to Noels Tropical Feathers Birding website is at the top of this page.
Enjoy.

A Royal Flycatcher in Carara National park. Even though we stood directly under its hanging nest. Which in fact was low enough to reach up and touch, and no we did not try to touch it. It was still relatively unconcerned. We were hoping that it might flair its beautiful crest. But no such luck. I guess it was to used to the foot traffic and tour groups.
