Birds of Costa Rica
Most of these shots are in no particular order. Just examples from the five trips down there so far. Most of the time we were in the company of Noel Urena who is in my opinion one of the best birder/ photographers I've ever met. Noel is an excellent birding guide who also runs the largest Christmas bird count region in Costa Rica. His Birding guide website " Tropical Feathers" is worth a visit just for the photos.
With Noel and Luis, a friend of Noels, I had the opportunity to join in four surveys for the Dept of Conservation. They were wonderful experiences indeed. The link to Noels Tropical Feathers Birding website is at the top of this page.
Enjoy.

Riverside Wren at Talari near San Isidro. They grow them big down there. This one was keeping an eye on us. Its fledged youngsters were near by. The parents hid them in a thicket and were delivering food to them. Interesting behavior to watch. They really were right by a riverside.
